With just one day to go, the referendum on Scottish independence is still too close to call.
Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond and his rival UK Prime Minister David Cameron are making impassioned pleas urging voters to either back or reject independence in Thursday’s poll.
The result is still up in the air as opinion polls put the “Yes” and “No” vote almost neck and neck.
Key to the “Yes” campaign are promises that independence will give Scotland full control over its North Sea oil revenues and health services. In recent days, however, key oil industry figures have disputed Salmond’s allegedly rosy estimates of how much oil Scotland has left.
The “No” campaign, meanwhile, has promised Scotland “devolution max” should voters reject outright independence, saying that Scotland and England are stronger together.
Here in Taiwan, we support any people’s desire for freedom and the ability to choose independence without fear.
So, people of Scotland. Make your choice. If you choose independence, then good luck to you!

Clearly I am, as my family crest shows, a unicorn (as well as a Scot).
In this video, in reference to the Vow, they say: "We here in Taiwan understand that no amount of false promises are enough to sate a people's desire for FREEDOM".
It should be reembered that Taiwan is constantly under threat of annexation by China and that they accutely understand the meaning of freedom in this context. They even go so far as to use the vow in this video as wrapping for chips.
What is strange, is that Conservative pro unionists, saw this video as a tool with which to bolster their position.
